This morning it was 75 degrees at 9 am!!! We are beginning to really question weather.com. It also said it was 91 this afternoon. That can't be. The interesting thing is that at the same time it said that it was 82 in 98273. hmmm?? We created our vocab test questions this morning. The test will be online this evening. We talked about our math from yesterday and then did more on fractions today. This afternoon we had music. Some of us were interviewed for AVID. In Social Studies / Science, we talked about chemicals used in growing cut flowers. We learned about dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane ! (DDT) We talked about the benefits and the negatives of using chemicals. We then looked at the problem of waste with bananas and possible solutions. We learned that for every ton of bananas produced, there is 2 tons of waste produced!
