This week we have been taking notes each day in class. Hopefully, we
have
had a chance to share what we are learning with others. Today in
math we
finished up a test and then reviewed an assignment from earlier in
the week
and practiced our division. Mrs. Thornburgh showed us our math
movies that
we made on Tuesday. The are available on our website. The quality is
pretty low since Mrs. Thornburgh was trying to keep the files small
for the
web. She will tweak this as we do more. Mrs. Thornburgh
complimented us on
how we work to solve problems. She has been giving us multi-step
problems.
We use lots of different strategies to try and solve the problems.
The
exciting thing is, even when we are challenged, we don't give up.
This
afternoon, we had a little class meeting instead of Fitness (since it
was
raining.) We talked a little more about our behavior as of late and
how we
really need to be taking responsibilty for our actions. In Social
Studies
we had a great discussion about Child Labor and Human Rights. We
read and
discussed a couple of papers together. We learned that issues aren't
always
black and white. We have to think about all of the stakeholders. In
Language Arts, we wrote a paragraph about what policy we would have
if we
were a banana buyer.

End Hunger. Pass it on.... <http://www.heifer.org/> www.heifer.org
