Thornburgh 6 Daily Log June 16, 2006

Last Day!!!!!

After a wonderful promotion ceremony and reception yesterday we returned for our last day here at Lincoln.  This morning we helped get the auditorium set up for the Awards Ceremony.  We have been so great about helping out with things like that all year long.  What a helpful group of kids! We then had the awards ceremony.  Lots of people were honored for their accomplishments.  We came back to class and did a few last minute chores.  We set up a new blog to follow Shania around the country this summer.  The address is www.shaniaroadtrip.blogspot.com.  We can also send posts about what we are doing over the summer by e-mailing to mthornburgh.shania@blogger.com . I will put both of these links on our website. A photographer from the Skagit Valley Herald came in and took photos of us working with our blogs.  There is going to be an article in the Skagit Living section about teachers who blog.  So watch out for the article in the next few weeks.  Skagit Living comes out on Sundays.

It is hard to believe that the school year is over.  We are all very ready for a break, but not very ready to say good bye.  I hope to continue to keep in touch with my students and their families and hear of all of the wonderful achievements they will make in the future.

Thanks so much to the wonderfully supportive parents I have partnered with these past 2 years.  You have made my job that much more enjoyable.
