Thornburgh 6 Daily Log June 5, 2006

Homework: Read at Home, Spelling 1-10 5x, Good Neighbor projects due Friday.  Patrol to Water Slides tomorrow.
Lunch at La Casita (Thurs.?  more info soon)

Our thoughts go out to Blake Allen and his family.  Perry, his much beloved big brother, was injured in an accident this weekend.  He was Life Flighted to Harbor View Hospital and underwent surgery for a head injury last night.  We are all hoping for the best.  As we get more information, I will pass this along since I know that we are all concerned about this dear family.

This morning we watched the video we made to share with the Heifer group this weekend.  Mrs. Thornburgh said reported that those in the group were very impressed by all we had done and learned this year about caring for the Earth and it's peoples.

In math, we went over the test from Friday.  We did a great job on the algebra part but are still struggling with adding fractions with unlike denominators.

This afternoon we had song practice for the Promotion ceremony.  We then wrote letters of support and encouragement to Blake's family.  Some of us worked on our much over due Mother's Day presents.  We really haven't forgotten...

The last period of the day we had an assembly.  More about that tomorrow.
