Art Festival Tonight... come and enjoy
This morning we took a vocab test and then a different type of
Spelling test
since we were short on time. Mrs. Thornburgh reminded us what the
pattern
was and then told us to write 5 words from the list correctly.
Thinking
that if we have been studying, we should be able to remember 5 out of
20
words. This was hard for many of us. Either we didn't study or we
have
very bad memories. Or, maybe a little of both with a little bit of
pressure
added to the mix. Officer Jeff was here today for TEAM, we talked
about Drug
and Alcohol abuse and our upcoming TEAM graduation. After PE, we were
able
to get some more work done in Social Studies. We learned a little
about
Fair Trade. The last period of the day we had our class meeting. At
the
class meeting, Mrs. Thornburgh passed out permission slips for Camp
Orkila.
We talked about ways we could raise money to go. We had lots of good
ideas
like doing chores around the house, lawn work, pet sitting, baby
sitting,
etc. The cost for students is $30 after the fund raising we have
already
done. Today a few of us dressed up like artists. We had John Belushi,
Georgia O'Keefe, Frida Kahlo and some other interesting characters in
our
class. (We always have interesting characters in our class.)
