November 4

Homework: Social Studies extra credit: Come enjoy a family night out at our Multicultural dinner. 6-8 Read at Home,
Volunteers are needed to help plant 1000 daffodil bulbs on the north side of the school tomorrow. They will start planting at 10 am.

This morning we tried to watch CNN Student News but we had some technical difficulties. So, we just talked about some news stories. After reading this morning we took a spelling test and a vocabulary test. Those who practiced the test online last night said that it really helped. We talked about some other things we (Mrs. Thornburgh and us) can do to improve our scores on those tests. In math we talked about the relationships between pi, the circumference and diameter. Mrs. Thornburgh showed us using several circles of different sizes that the distance around a circle is always about 3 times the length of the distance across the circle. To be exact the the distance around a circle (circumference) is 3.14 (pi) times longer than the distance across (diameter) After PE, we had a class meeting. We talked about grades and goals. We then spent the last period putting some final touches on our boards so that they would be ready to display at the Multicultural dinner tonight. ( We may have a few more things to tweak before we are graded on them at our Culture Fair next week.)
