Wow! It was difficult to get back on schedule today. But we managed
to get
lots done today. This morning we checked and graphed the weather.
After
reading we did this week's vocabulary. We created test questions
together.
Tomorrow we will have a practice test and Friday we will have a
test. We
also went over our spelling list. In math, we worked on our art
project.
We are making a copper garden trellis for the art auction. We had to
use
scale and ratio to figure out how big each cut should be. We had to
add,
subtract and divide fractions. Tomorrow we will put the cut pieces
together. Boy... there is a lot of math in art!!! After music we
started a
new unit on Latin American trade and consumer reporting. We are
going to be
learning about the trade of coffee, bananas and cut flowers. We will
be
using skills in investigative reporting to write a report. We will be
giving our reports in a video presentation.

End Hunger. Pass it on.... <http://www.heifer.org/> www.heifer.org
