Homework: Read at Home, work on long term Science project (due Nov. 8) and long term Social Studies project (due Oct. 28.)
This morning we watched CNN news. This is Constitution Day so we talked about the Constitution and the 3 branches of government. This was our first day of reading. Was different not to have the whole morning together anymore. Mrs. Thornburgh continued to read Esperanza Rising. This is a historical fiction novel about Mexican immigrants. We then took a check up test in math. It is neat to see how we are adding to our knowledge with each test. Last week no one knew what a least common multiple was and now that it "common" knowledge. We had PE after recess and then it was time for more tests. We took a spelling test and a vocabulary test. Mrs. Thornburgh checked our binders. We get a study skills grade each week for the content and organization of our binders. The last period of the day we had a class meeting. We went over a few things from last week and then had a chance to share affirmations.
