Homework: Spelling 1-15 ed ending 5 x each, Read at Home, Fluency, Take Home Folders, Progress Reports, finish Time For Kids

This morning we checked the weather and then decided to investigate just what a retina is since we heard that Levi had a torn retina. We looked at 3 different models of eyes on the internet. (hmmm.... someone who hasn't got an idea for a model yet might want to do an eye....) In math we practiced using benchmarks to estimate angle size. We also used both angle rulers and protractors to measure and draw angles. We used Step Up to Writing to write a paragraph about one of the character traits we talked about yesterday in class. This afternoon, Mrs. Thornburgh was at a math class and Ms. Owens was with us. We went to Music and then we worked on writing a cover letter for our job applications for the play. The last period of the day we worked on some current event/ science stories from Time For Kids. We were happy to see Levi when he came by to get his homework. Take Home Folders, Newsletters and Progress Reports went home today.
